Precision on the Page: Instructions, Scaling, and the Complete Recipe
This 300-level course continues the recipe-writing track at a technical level. Where the 200-level work taught storytelling and voice, this course teaches the precision that makes a written recipe work in someone else’s kitchen — clear sequential instructions, an illustrated preparation method, and a complete recipe-notes table.
Working from Nasrul Eam’s culinary guide, you will practice writing imperative, one-action steps; moving knife cuts, marinades, and cookware sizes to the front of the instruction; finishing with plating, serving temperature, and storage; and building the notes a reader relies on, including honest serving sizes and reliable scaling by weight.
It is built for serious adult learners who can already write a voice-driven headnote and now want the discipline of accuracy, clarity, and completeness. The capstone asks you to publish one complete, reader-ready recipe.
