There is an important difference between the lede of a travel story and the lede of a feature article in a newspaper. In a news feature, all the important points — the who, what, where, when, why, and how — appear in the first sentence or two, so that the reader gets the basic facts quickly. This is sometimes called the inverted pyramid: the most important information first, the supporting detail below.
