Every story begins with a single moment of invitation — the lede. This is the sentence, or the opening paragraph or two, that either brings a reader in or lets them drift away. This course teaches you the craft of that sentence with precision, practice, and published examples from the Dean himself.
Through travel writing, recipe ledes, and careful study of what makes openings work, you will develop the instinct and technique to hook any reader, in any genre, every time.
