Pure Gold, by Sunando Roy

This photo was taken at sunset in Bald Eagle State Park near State College in central Pennsylvania. The frozen lake reflected the sunlight really well and gave nice warm tones to this picture. This was incidentally the last sunset for the year 2010.

Sunando Roy is currently pursuing his PhD from Pennsylvania State University in State College, spending most of his time studying viruses. When not staring at the computer screen he is usually out with his camera trying to capture the world as he sees around him. He has had no formal training in photography and is learning new things everyday while trying to take photos. Most of what he has learnt is on a Canon Powershot S3IS and only recently has switched to a Nikon D90. He shoots mostly landscapes or nature preferring it over portrait photography.
