8sec at f/36, 300mm. Diffraction is the enemy here. Stopping down to f/36 on a D700 creates a soft, muddy mess across the sensor. It’s an amateur’s attempt at depth that sacrifices the sharpness of the Al Ameen Mosque. I’ve seen this mistake too often. The light trails are decent, but the optics are compromised. It’s physically painful to see such a fine subject blurred by a fundamental misunderstanding of the diffraction limit.
