Soul of an Artist

Do you know how to create poetry? Haven’t you at least tried once in your life? Everybody has a hidden desire to write poems; don’t they? Why do people want to write poetry? Is it because man wants to create purity, beauty? And, poetry is called the highest form of purity.“Poetry is the breath and finer spirit of all knowledge” William Wordsworth.

But what actually is a poem? What does a poem actually convey? Poetry creates a poetic pain, which many experience and feel. But is poetry only created in writing? Can only people that write, create poetry? Do you believe this? Then look at the photograph taken by Photographer: Shahnaz Parvin (Dhaka, Bangladesh) of a potter working.

Soul of an Artist

Soil with Soul, by Shahnaz Parvin

Can you feel the poetry the image portrays? The poetry is in hands of a layman who uses clay and creates poetic beauty whilst working with his hands. Can you feel the soul of an artist in that incoherent beauty, which lies in his creation? When you see this photo, do you see this? Can only words create poetry? Share your thoughts with us.
