Astrid Halvorsen is a writer for whom the relationship between light and emotion is a daily and serious matter. She has contributed to Light & Composition since 2018, bringing a meteorologist's vocabulary and a poet's ear — the ability to name precisely what different qualities of light do to the human interior. Readers from every climate immediately recognise what she is describing.
