The Beauty of Little

I cleared my desk entirely this morning — put away every notepad, every stray pen, every accumulated slip of paper until only the warm wood grain remained. The relief was immediate and physical, like taking off a heavy winter coat after walking up three flights of stairs. We are taught to collect, to accumulate, to prove our worth by the density of things that surround us. But there is an incomparable luxury in emptiness. When you remove everything that is unnecessary, what remains is not absence; it is clarity. It is room for the mind to stretch out its arms and breathe.

Aman Raj Sharma celebrates this liberating simplicity in his striking frame titled The Minimalist. Its pure lines and open space feel like a cool glass of water. When did you last find joy in having less around you?
