I was also thinking about the New York Institute of Photography (NYIP) course but an well wisher told me about this site and the books. I bought the Mastering Photography Bundle with a bit of doubt but after finishing the book "Essence of close-up photography" I came to realize that I was forgetting the main aspect of Photography. A photographer creates a masterpiece while he is driven by passion not by the specifications given by a book. While these books will not give you the formula for creating masterpiece but will give you the insight and inspiration to experiment and create your own formula.

I completed photography courses from New York Institute of Photography (NYIP). There were 30 lessons with 6 units. At first, it seemed very practical in order to start working in the field, cost me 1000 USD, I got my certificate, and all my photographs became boring.

I wanted to become a nature photographer, and for years I'd been reading blogs, forums, and all other form of Internet resources I could find. A month ago, I came to know Light and Composition from Facebook, and decided to try my luck with this bundle. Even after doing so many courses, reading these I felt like a complete naive. I made a cursory reading at first, and realized there are far too many things to learn in photography. I was hooked on the book "The Essence of Close-up Photography". When finished, I couldn't wait for a nature vacation. When I came back two days ago, showed my pictures to my family and friends, it amazed them instead of bored them. My recommendation is, every photographer needs to own this!

For anyone who has a love of photography and nature, these are the books. After you finish reading these marvelous books on close-up and wildlife, for sure you will love to stay in the nature more than before. They offer practical information as well as aesthetic ones that all photographers should take seriously. Two volumes of Illuminating Nature were beautifully presented and filled with enormous photographs which capture the spirit of the subject in unusual ways.

These books are really good. I wanted to learn more about close-up photos that make everyone else love. I am happy I ordered this one, very well and understandably written. Both volume of Illuminating Nature have very nice pictures. Highly Recommended!

  5. Erik Fox

These books are excellent resources for nature photography. The Essence on Close-up Photography is detailed, in-depth, and covering major aspects for nature photographer. This book seems to be geared more toward armature than professional photographers. This becomes most noticeable when the author discusses equipment and technique. Even someone does not have any technical knowledge on photography can grasp these concepts and techniques. The other two books titled as “Illuminating Nature” are as good as BBC’s wildlife Photographers of the Year. I would definitely recommend these books for the intermediate to advanced photographer.

  6. Zoila

Close-up photography requires special techniques and equipment. Nasrul masterfully explains those techniques and expertly guides equipment usage. He gives practical advice about subject and equipment. His style is direct and unassuming, overall I like the way this book is organized. On other books - Illuminating Nature, photos are amazing; I liked his perspective of capturing.

  7. Arnila

For any nature photographers, these book are worth buying. The Essence of Close-up photography is an excellent guide to every aspect, and the other books, the volumes of Illuminating Nature are just priceless for their photography. Would strongly recommend these books to anyone for getting into nature photography.
