This photograph was taken on Altay region, Russia. Its a photograph of a horseman next to the belukha mountain. Belukha is a twin-peaked mountain massif that rises along the border of Russia and Kazakhstan, just north of the point where these two borders meet those of China and Mongolia. There are several small glaciers on the mountain. It was taken on July 2007.

    Altay region is not the same that Altai Republic. The latter is on the photo.
