This photograph was taken as a part of an assignment were you learn how to get the best tone without doing any alternations. As a subject I used a everlasting Statice. The flower looks like folded silk/tissue paper. The Idea behind the photography was for the purple-blue leaves disappear slightly blurred in to the darkness. When taking the photography natural light and manual mode was used, and due to the dark background I used spot metering. Due to the short working distance f/4 was used to not have a to short depth of field.
