The photo was taken as a part of an assignment and exploring the depth of field and to create a more three dimensional feeling to a photography with the help of depth of field. I used a wet ice cube, to make it more interesting I added a mint leaf. I think the mint leaf also help to add a more three dimensional feeling to the photo as well as a proportion of size, making a macro photo easier to grasp. To capture the frame I used natural light and some cardboard to block and reflect light, to get some sparkling highlights in the ice.
-Focus was done on the mint / corner of the ice cube.
-Working distance 20 to 25 cm. I used f/5.6 to have enough depth of field. I tried smaller and larger opening, a smaller opening and it looked unnaturally, too large opening and the three dimensional feeling was lost.-Exposure Bias -0.3EV (multi-zone or matrix metering)
