Full Bloom, by Des Brownlie

After dropping off my daughter at school in The Village in Manhattan I took my usual route to head back to our apartment in Chelsea, going the scenic route via the High Line Park. The former elevated railway line turned into a park offers great photo opportunities all year round. It was late in May 2013 at this time so the flowers where in full bloom, and so many to choose from. This particular flower looked like a mini explosion of buds coming from the center of the flower. So getting low and close I took the picture, just focusing in this single flower.
