Cloves of Garlic, by Rasha Rashad

The intent was to explore the potential of negative space in food photography by shooting simple raw components like garlic and dried basil in the photograph with the use of shallow depth of field and the similarities between the color and tones of garlic and the background allowed a softer look. Garlic is also a rich ingredient because it’s layered, can be used in different shapes.
