Bird Bath, by Rick Boland

I took this photograph of a Moor-hen bathing in a local duck park in Melbourne. It was a cool day on the last day of Autumn. The surrounding lake framed my shot beautifully, giving a great color to the overall shot. Not until later did I realize you could see the bird’s feet under the water. There were many other Moorhens in the lake, but this one stood out most to me and my camera. I stood on the bank of the lake and snapped the shot just as it started to clean itself.
