“Aarong”, a social enterprise of BRAC since 1978, is one of the leading lifestyle retailers in Bangladesh. I went to their Uttara, Dhaka branch and was standing beside the balustrade observing people coming in and going out. The interesting part that immediately caught my attention was the transitional space. The transitional space is linking between outdoor and indoor environments acting as both buffer space and physical link. If I link up visually, two men are going out from a structure, which is man made while two were getting into that structure.
