In the far corner of Dubai Marina, there lies a beach, stretches to Persian Gulf. Well, that’s what geography says, for me it’s like my backyard, as I stay nearby. I see people go there for jogging for its untouched beauty and loneliness. One day my philosopher mind provoked me to click this virgin beach, sleeping calmly with all its beauty. It reminded me of a philosophical saying….”I have seen the world, gone to a lot of places, spent a lot of money but never bothered to step into my backyard…”

Avi Chatterjee was born in Kolkata, India on 1st December 1982. He was brought up in a family of Father, Mother and Younger Brother. After completing his Electrical Engineering from his native town he went outside India looking for fortune. He had stayed in countries like Singapore, Kuwait due to his work and finally for last 5 years he is settled in Dubai. Presently he is working in an Automation OEM Company as a Technical Sales Consultant and holds Technical Certifications like Functional Safety Engineer (SIS) from TUV.

He brought his first Digital Point and Shoot Camera namely Canon A470 when he got married to his wife Triparna who is a painter back in 2008 and they were on a trip to the Himalayas in 2008 .He used to shoot whatever he saw without knowing anything about photography. Today he repents as to what he had missed and what he could have captured if he knew photography that time. His first exposure to the photography world was in the year 2012 when on his Son Aaryan’s first birthday one of his friend brought a DSLR for shooting and finally he got himself a Nikon D7000 by April 2012

His main inspiration is his wife and thus he is even thinking of leaving his mainstream regular Job and start full time in Photography as a Photographer. He is already associated with some professional photographic association and he has started shooting professionally since last December 2012. He is setting up studio Named Time Machine Works in Dubai and India. His interest mainly is in Macro Photography, though he professionally shoots Wedding, Food and Product Photographs.
