Caramel-chocolate Pastry, by Ola Cedell

These pastries simply taste great. Made with a brownie with caramel and a chocolate dome on top, these small treats can embellish any “Swedish fika”. Caramel and chocolate are a perfect combination. The caramel melts in your mouth and because they are spiked with a little hazelnut liqueur, they leave a lovely nutty flavor in the mouth. The photo was taken using studio flash, main light from above and behind and fill-flash from right. Time was spent on the lightning to make the chocolate dome shape visible.

Food has been a big part of Cedell’s life, as he always enjoys tasting and trying new things. Besides his engineering career, he has been enjoying amateur photography since 1996. Nowadays, Landscape and food photography are his main categories, i.e. for the catering company Gazpacho. His inspiration comes form all around the world, but mainly in southern Sweden as well as France Alpes/Provence.
