Taken on Luxor’s west bank, the baby girl looks inquisitively at me and my camera. It’s possibly the first time she has seen such a pale complexion and high-tech equipment. She is surrounded by dirt and dilapidated buildings – a place rarely visited by the hordes of tourists that flock to Egypt.

Paige has been involved in all facets of the Arts industry since graduating from her studies. Her career history includes working as a Graphic Operative for the Victoria Police Criminal Identification Squad, teaching art and craft, window dressing for Myer department store and designing for Swedish retail giant IKEA. In 2001 she established her own business, Page1Design, as a means to showcase & share her own creations. With a career primarily in law and emergency services she has worked in many pressured environments. As an escape from these demands, she turns to travel and the arts. Career breaks in 2003, 2005 and 2008 allowed her to travel and to experience new ways of living. She worked in hospitality in Scotland and as an au pair in Norway. She taught at a school in Sweden and tour-guided around Australia. These experiences reignited her passion for photography and were the inspiration for her exhibitions. This year Paige will undertake a new journey with her wedding in Thailand followed by a six-month round-the-world adventure. No doubt there will be more photos to share…
