This photo was taken on top of the Rockefeller Center in New York City at sunset. I got the chance to travel to New York City on my 18th birthday (May 12, 2012). I’ve always wanted to have my own skyline photo and since NYC is so beautiful at sunset, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. It was a beautiful and enlightening experience.

Stephanie Gillis was born in Toledo, Ohio in May 1994. She has always been artistic and really into photography. When she was younger she thought the chances of her becoming an known artist was about the same as becoming a rock star. But her mom encouraged her to try to make a living off of what she loves. She hasn’t done really anything professional yet, but she is working her way there. She hopes to get a lot of exposure of her artwork and maybe one day sells it. Stephanie Mostly does it for the passion and the fun. Her life motto is, “Photography is a part of who I am. It’s how I see the world. Everything is beautiful, you just have to see it through the camera’s eye, and not the eyes of people.” She lives by that and let it guides her.
