Freestyling Downhill, by Blair Horgan

Just around the corner from my place, down a rather steep street, seems to be the perfect spot for downhill skateboarding. I had seen the skater a few times before deciding to stop by and take some photos on the fly. Perfect conditions for it. I fired of a a few shots of the skater, this shot was taken half way down as he flicked the skateboard around to come to a stop, I found that this shot in black and white looks a thousand times better, highlighting and framing it better. Skater:Jason Whitney.

Starting in Melbourne, Australia, Blair Horgan learned the basics from Rennie Ellis while on work experience, and caught the photography bug way back in 1991. Photography has always been in the background, just that his life got in the way. He has taken it up full-time, as life allows him time with photography, his family and his daughters love to pose, be part of what he does. He finds that he prefers capturing life as it happens, not posing for it.
