Moment of Childhood Joy, by Emteaz Ahmed

Everyone loves childhood, cherishes it … except children I guess; they can’t understand the value until they’ve grown up, but by then, it’s too late. We do, don’t you? Though we grow older, we keep a child’s heart hidden within us. I took this photo from the Fishery Ghat of Chittagong at 11:27am on 11th December 2013. In this photo, a lad was flying a kite on the bar of stone. He was cheerful moment in his dauntless movement, as if his total appearance calls up childhood memory of any person.

It is a remarkable moment of childhood registered by the photographer. It is nothing more related to this part of chil’s life like playing with a kite. For me it is an essence of “catching the moment” in photojournalism.
