Most food photography is disposable, destined for a trash bin once the trend fades. Of the thousands I’ve reviewed, this kiwi succeeds because it treats texture as architecture. The sharp, radial geometry of the seeds against that soft, translucent pulp creates a tension I’ve rarely seen in such a mundane subject. It’s clinical, yes, but it’s also strangely hypnotic. I find myself wanting to reach out and touch it. That’s how you survive thirty years.
