This was one of my very first tries at photographing a steak. It was done for a client who is a close friend of mine and had just opened a new restaurant. He wanted to showcase how big the steak was and I decided to keep the focus on that and make it the hero of the shot but also take up most of the frame to accentuate the size of it on the plate. Needless to say my friend and client were happy with the shot and I was too and made me feel confident to cover future similar dishes.
