Captured during the 50th-anniversary celebration of the Blue Impulse aerobatic team, this photograph depicts the iconic 'waterfall' maneuver performed above Matsushima Airbase. The image serves as a poignant tribute to a site famously impacted by the 2011 tsunami, now reclaimed by the roar of engines and the precision of flight. By utilizing a 300mm focal length, the photographer isolates the aircraft against the vast sky, emphasizing the symmetry and grace of the formation. This work is award-worthy for its technical clarity in freezing high-speed motion and its ability to transform a dynamic military demonstration into a compelling narrative of resilience and national pride.

We are taught that to rise is to be free. We look at the birds, the clouds, the thin air above the treeline, and we assume that weight is a burden we must eventually shed. But the earth is patient.

Gracias cuΓ±ao, esto es un placer para mi.
This pic remembers me our last conversation, and as Morihei Ueshiba wrote in The Art of Peace βConflict between material and spiritual science creates physical and mental exhaustion, but when matter and spirit are harmonized, all stress and fatigue disappear.β Thatβs you my friend a harmonized man. Congratulations.
At least I try my friend!, I still canΒ΄t get the total harmonization (and maybe I never will) but during my trials I am enjoying this life at the most.
Take care and muchas gracias.
Maravillosa
