The Stillness Within the Current

There is a rhythm to the world that exists beneath the surface of our movement. We often mistake the rush of a crowd or the noise of a station for the whole of reality, forgetting that at the center of every storm, there is a point of absolute quiet. To stand in the middle of a transit hub is to witness the river of humanity flowing in a thousand directions at once. Yet, if you watch long enough, you see that each person carries their own private sanctuary within them. It is a stillness that does not ask to be noticed, a quiet grace that persists despite the urgency of the journey. We are all travelers, passing through spaces that are not our own, carrying the weight of our stories in the lines of our faces and the set of our shoulders. To pause and truly see another is to recognize that we are all anchored in the same vast, unfolding present.
