The Weight of Devotion
I spent this morning trying to fix a loose floorboard in the hallway. It was a small, nagging thing that had been bothering me for weeks, but as I hammered away, I realized how much effort we put into the things we believe in. Sometimes, we push ourselves until our hands ache, just to prove that we are present, that we are committed to the space we occupy. It isn’t always about comfort. Often, the most meaningful parts of our lives are the ones that demand a bit of struggle, a bit of sacrifice, or a test of our own limits. We carry these burdens not because we have to, but because they anchor us to something larger than our own quiet routines. I wonder, when we finally set the hammer down and look at the work we have done, do we see the pain of the process, or do we only see the strength we found in the middle of it?

Sourav Das has captured this intensity in his powerful image titled The Killer. It serves as a stark reminder of how far the human spirit will go to honor what it holds sacred. Does this image stir a similar sense of awe in you?
