While strolling along the Riverwalk in Tampa, the photographer observed a romantic scene of a couple walking with their arms around one another. Positioned about twenty feet behind them, the photographer utilized a zoom lens to capture the intimate moment from a candid perspective. Although the photographer initially wished for a frontal shot to capture their facial expressions, the resulting image beautifully conveys the quiet connection between the subjects. The photograph is award-worthy for its authentic street aesthetic and the photographer's ability to transform a fleeting, everyday encounter into a poignant narrative of human affection.
