It makes me feel thankful, honored and excited.
This image was made during the pregame festivities at a college football game that I was shooting. The temperature was in the mid teens with light snow falling. The pregame cadet formations are always interesting to me but the attire they wore that day added a sense of repetition and mystery to the photo.

I've been involved with photography for many years but it's still an awesome journey of learning and discovering new things and new ways of seeing familiar things and sharing that with others.
I grew up in Alabama, an area that wasn't culturally diverse so I think that's why I developed a desire to learn about, appreciate and visit other cultures and capture that in images. It was also an area where I grew up appreciating nature although in more subtle terms than other places that I've lived like Alaska, Washington, and Colorado.
Nature and travel photography have long been my major interests. However, I grew up in an area that intensely appreciated sports and I developed that interest as well. Over the past 3 years or so, I was given the opportunity to shoot sports. The combination of my love of sports and photography has been one of the most enjoyable discoveries that I have made.
My images have been exhibited by Southeastern Center for The Arts, The Alaska Society of Outdoor and Nature Photographers, and Crated.
