I planned this photo shoot 1 hour prior to sunrise beneath the Deerfield Beach pier. Not a person was in sight this time of the morning but shortly before sunrise the fisherman began to arrive at the pier. I could tell the sun was going tho brake through the cloud bank and wanted to capture it. I also wanted to try and get the reflection of the pier if possible. Using a variable ND filter and tripod I was fortunate to capture this exposure. I went back the morning for more it was so much fun.

Steve Hirsch grew up with a love of photography, had a darkroom in his basement and photographed throughout high school. He took some time off to get married, raise 3 girls and become an otolaryngologist. Now that the kids have grown he has renewed his interest in his favorite hobby. His other favorite pastime is travel. The two passions go hand-in-hand, travel landscape and wildlife photography. In order to grow as a photographer he has attended workshops in Africa and various locations. He continues to travel all over the world and the United states to capture animals in their natural habitat and photograph beautiful landscapes in all different seasons of the year and various lighting. His artwork adorns the walls of his home, his friends, family and clients homes as well as medical offices. He feels photography is his way to express oneself artistically and connect with people on a very basic level. He enjoys the process of planning and traveling to each unique location, patiently taking the best shot and exploring the best way to display his works of art. Photographer: Victor Howard (Houston, TX, USA)
Victor is an amateur photographer who took up photography as a hobby to expand his perspective and develop his creative side. What started as a learning opportunity for him in 2007 has evolved into a passion. He loves to capture the beauty of the world and people around him. He enjoys exploring different styles and techniques while developing his craft. Victor believes it is important to capture the shot as perfect as possible at the time of the shoot. He believes nothing replaces the learning accomplished by simply taking pictures; and he likes to spend time every week with his camera in hand. He uses a plan, shoot, review, adjust approach while photographing a particular subject to continuously improve a shot.
Photographer: Ronnie Glover (Gig Harbor, WA, USA)
Photography took a backseat while Ronnie obtained his college degree. After graduation, he purchased his first camera but was unable to produce the images that he saw in his mind. He then took a few continuing education class to learn the technical aspects of the camera and realized there was so much more to learn about photography. So Ronnie enrolled in the professional program at Southeastern Center for the Arts in Atlanta. The school was operated by Jeanne & Neil Chaput de Saintonge, who currently operate Rocky Mountain School of Photography. He spent 14 years living in Alaska and this gave him unbelievable opportunities to experience nature and capture many images. Ronnie also enjoy travel photography and the experience of different cultures. It is his wish that his images will expose others to the beauty of nature and other cultures. He invites everyone to enjoy his gallery and feel free to contact him with any comments.

He has had no formal training in photography and is learning new things everyday while trying to take photos. Most of what he has learnt is on a Canon Powershot S3IS and only recently has switched to a Nikon D90. He shoots mostly landscapes or nature preferring it over portrait photography.
Beachcombers have long sought out scallop shells as they can add such vivid color to a shell collection. Regarded for their beauty for thousands of years, the Roman goddess Venus (also known as the Greek goddess Aphrodite) was born from a scallop shell according to ancient mythology. The beautiful colors and symmetry of the shells has made them popular subjects for artists for centuries. As an avid collector of shells, the warm hues of this group of scallop shells caught my attention.

Photographer: Elizabeth Brown (Safety Harbor, FL, USA)
Elizabeth Brown is a fine art photographer who enjoys capturing a variety of subjects. Her interests include landscapes, architecture, plants and all things associated with the coast. Elizabeth’s fine art photography is in several private collections and her commercial photography can be seen in several multi-family industry publications throughout the US.
Elizabeth has been fascinated by photography for more than 20 years. “My interest in photography started at 12 after experimenting with my father’s SLR camera. Only a few months later I bought my first SLR camera that I still have today. I had no idea then that I had discovered my life-long passion.”
“Some of my very first photos were of the coast and it is still a favorite subject for my photography today. I find nothing more serene than a salty breeze off the coast with the sound of the surf in the distance and use photography to capture those fleeting moments to savor.”
After growing up in Virginia Beach and living in many cities throughout the southeast, Elizabeth now resides on the Gulf Coast of Florida and enjoys spectacular sunsets with her family regularly.

After growing up in Virginia Beach and living in many cities throughout the southeast, Elizabeth now resides on the Gulf Coast of Florida and enjoys spectacular sunsets with her family regularly.

Victor is an amateur photographer who took up photography as a hobby to expand his perspective of the work and develop his creative side. What started as a learning opportunity in for him in 2007 has evolved into a passion. He loves to capture the beauty of the world and people around him. While not specializing in a particular type of photography, he enjoys exploring different styles and techniques while developing his craft. Victor uses the internet and eBooks to learn, then just goes out and shoots. He believes nothing replaces the learning accomplished by simply taking pictures. He uses a plan, shoot, review, adjust approach while photographing a particular subject to continuously improve a shot.
