The National Park Lauwersmeer is a park situated in the north of the Netherlands next to the Wadden Sea which is a World Heritage location. This picture is taken at the port of Dokkumer Nieuwe Zijlen. A small village build next to the sluice which are used to protect the land for flooding.

Ron te Burg is living in Nietap a smal village in Drenthe which is a Province in The Netherlands. Ron started with photography in 1991. From the beginning of his photo career he was fascinated by the beauty of the landscape. The beautiful lines and color of the landscape are a great inspiration for him. Especially the low light landscapes, the moments just before sunrise and after sunset are his favorite. He tries to reflect the feeling of that moment with good composition, intense color and light. The Dutch Landscape and the Dutch culture are his main subjects. Sometimes he travels to take pictures of the beautiful landscapes in other countries.
