I saw the silhouette of the children and the dogs and decided to put the camera on a gorilla pod to take the image from a low angle to try and capture the sea sand in the front. I set the camera on delay to be able to be part of the photograph.

Naude Visser was born in Harrismith, Free State, South Africa. He grew up and went to school in Pretoria, Gauteng. After a compulsory stint of two years in the army, he went to study law at the University of Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. He is a lawyer by profession and have recently started taking photographs. His wife gave him the camera for Christmas last year, and he did a bit of reading on landscapes since June this year. He is also a qualified tourist guide for the Western Province of the Republic of South Africa. Naude Visser is 50 years old and relatively novice in photography, but willing to learn. He lives in the suburb of Vredehoek in the City Bowl of Cape Time. His family has a holiday place at Struis Bay near Cape Agulhas where they go on week-ends. The road between Cape Town and Cape Agulhas is very scenic and most of his landscapes are taken there. He has not entered any competitions before and he is glad to be part of Light & Composition.
