Warqa, Dubai, is a small patch of wilderness enclosed on all four sides by highways. The landscape is simply amazing during the rains (Dec- Feb). The vegetation and sand dunes create amazing subjects for photography. There are several Guff trees (Prosopis cineraria) and several species of birds.

This is a photograph next to the Burj Al Arab Hotel. Claimed to be the world’s most expensive “7 star hotel”. Photograph was shot around the time Dubai was heading towards a major financial crisis. The ridiculous extravagance and unrealistic mammoth projects came to a close around this time.

“DaVinci” was taken in July 2010 at Chambord castle in the Loire Valley, France. The shot is taken up the inside of the double helix staircase designed by Leonardo da Vinci. Chambord was originally built as a ‘hunting lodge’ by King Francois I.

“Wishes at Cinderella’s Castle” was shot on November 27, 2009 at Walt Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida. The photo shows fireworks from the “Wishes Nighttime Spectacular” fireworks show put on each night in the Magic Kingdom. The whole show is truly magical and offers a variety of opportunities to capture amazing fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle.

“Clear Lake” was taken in August 2010 near Georgetown, Colorado. The lake is on the way up the Guanella Pass in the Rocky Mountains.
