The Untamed Wonder

There is a pure, uncalculating light in the eyes of a child who has not yet learned cynicism. In that gaze, the world is still whole, full of possibilities and untainted by regret. We spend so much energy trying to teach our children how the world works, when perhaps our greatest task is to let them remind us of how the world ought to be seen.

Shahnaz Parvin’s ‘Laughter Echoing Through the Alley’ holds a joy so vibrant it leaps straight off the screen. I am grateful she noticed this fleeting moment of magic.
