The Art of the Table
I spent twenty minutes this morning just trying to arrange my toast and fruit on a plate. It felt silly, honestly. I was running late for work, and there was no real reason to make my breakfast look like something out of a magazine. But as I moved the berries around, I realized I wasn’t just hungry. I was looking for a little bit of order before stepping out into a day that felt chaotic and loud. There is something grounding about taking a messy, simple thing and giving it a shape. It turns a basic necessity into a small ceremony. We spend so much of our lives rushing through meals, barely tasting what is in front of us. But when we pause to notice the colors, the way things sit next to each other, or the simple geometry of a meal, we are really just practicing how to pay attention. Does the way we prepare our space change the way we feel about the day ahead?

Rasha Rashad has captured this perfectly in the image titled Eat chez Racha. It is a beautiful reminder of how much care can be found in the simplest of rituals. How do you find beauty in your daily routines?
