Michiko Matsumoto
Born in Shizuoka, Japan, in 1950, Michiko Matsumoto holds a B.A. in Japanese literature from Hosei University. Since beginning her photographic journey in the early 1980s, she has built a distinguished career documenting artists and dancers across the globe, resulting in the publication of ten photography books. Her evocative work is held in the permanent collections of numerous international museums, and she continues to reside and create in Tokyo.
