Born in a small town in the interior of Buenos Aires province, Cristian Gayo developed his photographic craft in Mar del Plata, where he continues to reside. His career is marked by a commitment to social and historical documentation, notably his 2019 book project exploring the lives of the disappeared during Argentina's military dictatorship. An avid traveler, Gayo frequently traverses the vast landscapes of his home country and its neighbors, using his lens to bridge the gap between historical memory and the raw, natural beauty of the South American terrain.
