Into the World of Street Photography: Eye, Courage, and Presence
A foundational (100-level) street photography course and the first step in the PHJ street track, built from the Dean's guide to street photography. Covers the genre and the decisive moment; seeing by reduction and finding your own style; overcoming the fear and moral cost of candid work and choosing your ground; minimal gear, the prime lens, and camera muscle memory; the master settings of creative shutter speed and ISO-first exposure; and zone focusing, deep depth of field, wider focal lengths, and reading a developing scene. Culminates in the practical craft of pre-focusing and racking focus on moving subjects, so honest, candid pictures come back consistently sharp.
