Mastering the Art of Black & White Photography
Black and white is not a filter you apply — it is a way of seeing. This intermediate course rebuilds your craft around light, tone, and form: shooting RAW for maximum control, converting with coloured filters, mastering contrast, and reading landscapes and architecture as studies in tonal separation. Above all it trains the photographer's most important discipline — visualization, seeing the finished monochrome print before the shutter falls.
Grounded in the Dean's A Photographer's Guide to Black & White Photography, the course builds from seeing in monochrome to a finished, intentional portfolio, and culminates in your first submission to the Light & Composition Photo of the Day Award.
