English: How to Write Clearly and Concisely
Clear writing is a kindness to your reader. This course walks you through every everyday punctuation mark — full stops, question and exclamation marks, commas, semicolons and colons, apostrophes, quotation marks, dashes, hyphens and parentheses — and then teaches the wider craft of capitalising correctly and cutting needless words.
Each lesson teaches from concrete example sentences, showing right beside wrong so the rule becomes obvious. You will practise fixing run-ons and comma splices, taming the apostrophe, punctuating direct speech, and trimming clutter until your sentences carry their meaning cleanly.
The final capstone brings it all together: you will edit a genuinely messy passage into clear, correctly punctuated prose — the single skill that most improves everyday writing.
