Courting by Daz HamadiCourting by Daz Hamadi
It was a very overcast day in Brighton which provided a perfectly white backdrop for black and white photography. I saw a lonely pigeon on top of a statue so cranked up the shutter speed ready for it to take flight when a male pigeon decided to come 'flirt' a little, luckily I was ready for the shot....
Daz Hamadi
Born in Surrey, living in Brighton. My photography journey started as a photorealistic portrait drawer. This is where is learnt the concepts of chiaroscuro, lighting and composition which then led me to take up photography and filmmaking which I could apply my previous knowledge into a different medium. I fell in love with the art form of photography, from the packing of my gear to finding the perfect spot, chasing the light and throughout the entire process of taking the actual photos and editing to match the image in my mind. I try to tell stories in my images as well as trying creating something beautiful, the moments we capture only happen once and that's what makes it so special.

A hijacking! I saw a photoshoot down on the beach, the 'sea fairy' was tentatively approaching the rather stormy sea while the sun was casting a great shadow perfectly demonstrating the 'chiaroscuro' that looks so good in B&W. (She was taken out a few minutes later by a nasty wave which cut the shoot short!)
