Calm by Kirsten Bruening

Have you ever noticed while visiting a church that the statues of the Mother of God and Jesus are placed in such a way that sunlight always falls on their faces? Churches have always had a great architectural design. The sound of the organ can be heard in every corner of a church and all of this without the architects having technical aids at the time. Believing or not believing. Churches are a place of peace and quiet. They have always fascinated people. Churches have survived storms, fires and wars. Churches were and always will be a place of peace.

Kirsten Bruening is an amateur photographer and lives near Cologne. Her passion for photography started in her childhood and she spent many years exploring analogue photography. After a long break of fifteen years, she returned to photography. She loves black and white photography in nature, portraiture, and wildlife.
