Calm by Kirsten Bruening

Have you ever noticed while visiting a church that the statues of the Mother of God and Jesus are placed in such a way that sunlight always falls on their faces? Churches have always had a great architectural design. The sound of the organ can be heard in every corner of a church and all of this without the architects having technical aids at the time. Believing or not believing. Churches are a place of peace and quiet. They have always fascinated people. Churches have survived storms, fires and wars. Churches were and always will be a place of peace.

Kirsten Bruening is an amateur photographer and lives near Cologne. Her passion for photography started in her childhood and she spent many years exploring analogue photography. After a long break of fifteen years, she returned to photography. She loves black and white photography in nature, portraiture, and wildlife. She believes nothing can convey more expression to emotions and beauty than the play of light and shadow. She plans an extra-occupational study in photography and wants to deepen her knowledge.
