Procession by Alessandro Scorsone
At Easter in Palermo numerous processions are held on Good Friday. Many artisan brotherhoods based in the different neighborhoods of the city organize their devout processions along historically established routes. The men in turn among the elderly command the procession and those who lead the cart with the Madonna. They mark the time, the stops and the restarts, and the effort of the porters. Among them with the camera in the face the grimace of the caracollante head that with the hand steers the carriers. The effort in their face in the frame of the photo.
