Beautiful Flowers by Kirsten Bruening

There is no end to the number of beautiful flowers. Whether it is a single bud, a single flower or a bouquet. Flowers are wonderful and beautiful subjects to photograph. Why did I choose most of time black and white photography? Because there is much more than simple shining colours in photographs. Photography is the recording of light regardless of color and outcome. And what can show light in it´s own way? A beautiful flower – captured in black and white.

Kirsten Bruening is an amateur photographer and lives near Cologne. Her passion for photography started in her childhood and she spent many years exploring analogue photography. After a long break of fifteen years, she returned to photography. She loves black and white photography in nature, portraiture, and wildlife.
