While exploring Flores Island I met many local villagers and children. As the island is still not very popular destination in Indonesia among tourists, local rarely meet foreigners in these rural areas. Therefore children, when seeing the Big White Man, are often scared and try to hide somewhere. The photograph shows such a situation, where the father is protected his child from being scared. Besides of that, the local communities are very friendly for visitors. I highly recommend Flores for travelers as a destination in Indonesia.
