Located in the southern Caribbean Sea just north of the Venezuelan coast, Aruba possesses a distinctive arid desert-meets-ocean climate. Constant trade winds sculpt the famous Watapana (divi-divi) trees along the powder-white expanse of Eagle Beach, pointing perpetually southwest. The windward northern coast features rugged limestone cliffs and crashing surf in Arikok National Park, contrasting with the tranquil, pelican-dotted waters of the leeward coast. Photographers excel here by utilizing neutral density filters and tripod stability to blend wind motion with sharp geographical forms.
