Walking on Water
I spent this morning trying to fix a loose floorboard in the hallway. Every time I stepped on it, the wood groaned and sank, making me feel like I was walking on something fragile that might give way at any moment. It made me think about how we spend our lives looking for solid ground, terrified of the places where things feel thin or unstable. We want concrete, we want certainty, and we want to know that what is beneath us will hold. But maybe there is a different kind of strength in learning how to move across the surface of things without needing to break through. There is a grace in staying light, in trusting that if you keep moving, the world will support your weight, even when it looks like you are standing on nothing at all. What would it feel like to stop searching for the solid floor and just trust the water for a while?

Saniar Rahman Rahul has captured this beautiful image titled Pheasant-tailed Jacana. It shows a creature that has mastered the art of walking where others would sink, and it feels like a quiet lesson in balance. Does this image make you feel steady or nervous?
