The Path We Choose
I spent an hour this morning trying to find my keys, only to realize they were in the pocket of the coat I wore yesterday. It is funny how we spend so much energy looking for things in the wrong places, convinced that the answer must be somewhere new or difficult. We often think that to get anywhere, we need to be moving fast, pushing through the resistance of the day. But sometimes, the most important progress happens when we stop to help someone else get unstuck. We are so focused on our own destination that we forget the journey is rarely a solo endeavor. There is a quiet strength in realizing that we are all just trying to navigate our own patch of shifting ground. If we didn’t have each other to lean on when the path gets soft, would we ever make it to the other side? It makes me wonder how many times I have walked past someone else’s struggle because I was too busy watching my own feet.

Bashar Alaeddin has taken this beautiful image titled Off-Road Convoy. It captures that exact feeling of moving through the unknown together, helping one another find the way. Does this scene remind you of a time you had to rely on a stranger?
