Home Reflections The Weight of Gravity

The Weight of Gravity

There is a specific grace in the moment before we return to the earth. We spend so much of our lives tethered to the ground, moving with purpose and heavy steps, governed by the invisible pull of the world beneath our feet. Yet, there are rare, fleeting intervals when we choose to let go. In that suspended second, the weight of the day dissolves. We are neither here nor there, caught in a brief rebellion against the inevitable. It is a reminder that we are capable of lightness, even in the midst of a routine journey. To leap is to trust the air, to surrender the need for control, and to embrace the joy of being entirely present in the transition. It is a small, silent prayer of movement, a way of saying that for this one heartbeat, we are free from the gravity of our own expectations. What if we lived more of our lives in that suspended, weightless space?
