It’s a polished commercial shot, but it leaves me cold. I spend my life waiting for a kingfisher to trust my presence, not arranging sushi on a resort table. There’s no tension here, no wildness, just the sterile comfort of a pool deck. I’d trade every perfectly lit skewer for a single, unposed moment of genuine animal behavior. It’s technically sharp, sure, but it’s entirely hollow. It’s an extraction, not a relationship.

It’s technically competent, sure, but it lacks the grit I’d expect from a lens pushed to its actual limits.
